En Israel viven actualmente unos 3.5 millones de jud\u00edos considerados \u00absefarad\u00edes\u00bb. Entre estos hay algunos que con seguridad y de forma sencilla podr\u00e1n recibir el pasaporte portugu\u00e9s, en la medida en que presenten un apellido identificado como espa\u00f1ol o portugu\u00e9s. La lista de nombres es una indicaci\u00f3n primaria para la pertenencia espa\u00f1ola, pero no implica una condici\u00f3n obligatoria para obtener la ciudadan\u00eda portuguesa.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Adem\u00e1s, estamos en contacto con los genealogistas (investigadores de ra\u00edces) especialistas en \u00e1rboles geneal\u00f3gicos entre los descendientes espa\u00f1oles. Por ello, conforme a la informaci\u00f3n que nos sea prestada sobre su familia, nos ocuparemos de contactarlos con un genealogista apropiado para que pueda demostrar la relaci\u00f3n espa\u00f1ola en su familia en la medida en que existe.<\/p>\n<h4 dir=\"ltr\">Apellidos askenaz\u00edes elegibles al pasaporte portugu\u00e9s:<\/h4>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Todos los nombres citados arriba est\u00e1n relacionados a los jud\u00edos sefarad\u00edes de origen mediterr\u00e1neo\/ provenientes el Medio Oriente. De todas maneras, hay apellidos askenaz\u00edes con elegibilidad portuguesa que ser\u00e1n detallados a continuaci\u00f3n, que no necesariamente aparecen en la lista de nombres ampliada, que public\u00f3 el gobierno de Portugal.
